Montane says
Designed with the trail specific COVALENT harness delivering a customisable, body hugging fit without restricting movement, a multitude of pockets offering easy access to hydration, food and kit while on the move, the Trailblazer® 8 is ideal for any fast-paced mission, where low-weight, stability and quick access to kit is essential.
Our Verdict
Montane’s Trailblazer 8 Litre Rucksack have kept the combined vest harness for the 8 litre Trailblazer pack, making another high comfort, high stablility pack. With generous pockets on the shoulder straps, accessibility on the move is still a key design feature, so it works really well if you’re trying to go fast you don’t want to stop to put gloves away! On the front of the pack there’s a large main pocket with some helpful pouches stitched inside too. There is also a versatile and handy bungee strap and daisy chain for external storage.
The main compartment is fuss free though there’s a separate compartment for a bladder sitting between your back and the main compartment, this is very useful as it makes refilling extremely quick and easy. The back panel has air mesh making it impressively breathable for harder runs and uphill sections. The pack is aimed at fast moving days in the mountains and it will suit runners and mountain marathoners.
