Our Verdict

Montane’s Tor Shorts are lightweight and stretchy shorts that are well suited to a range of activities from climbing to hiking. They’re made form GRANITE Lite fabric which provides a decent amount of durability and lightweight stretch. The fabrics resistance to tears, scuffs and abrasions makes them ideal for climbing and mountain walking.

The fabric of the shorts feels soft against your skin and the microfleece lined waistband adds to the comfort. The fit is not too slim so there’s plenty of room to move and breathability is good too. There are two large front hand pockets and a zip thigh pocket, along with an extra zipped security pocket inside the right hand pocket which can secure keys but is a bit awkward to access.
