Montane says
Using weather resistant PERTEX® QUANTUM PRO and water-resistant zippers, the Resolute Down Jacket is as reliable in the Scottish winter as it is for mountaineering in the alps. With thermally efficient box walls in the core body combined with stitched through sleeves, the construction is designed to optimise the warmth of the premium 800+fill power goose down while allowing the freedom of movement required in the most challenging mountain conditions.
Our VerdictMontane’s Resolute Down Jacket is impressively warm and has considerable weather resistance thanks to the tough Pertex Quantum Pro outer. The use of box wall construction is a surprise in a jacket in this price range with this much down and gives you a much warmer jacket than if made with sewn through baffles and the cold spots this style has. The hand warmer pockets are fleece lined added a bit of luxury and have water resistant zips as does the chest pocket. The main zip has an internal storm flap to keep the weather out and the warmth in. Inside is a mesh zip pocket ideal for keeping hats and gloves warm and dry. The helmet compatible hood has an effective stiffened brim and is easily cinched down to size if not using a helmet. A waterproof storage bag is provided which is an added bonus as most brands don’t supply waterproof stuff bags with down jackets. – Reviewed by Ultralight Outdoor Gear Features
