Our Verdict

Montane’s Prism Hat is designed to fit perfectly under a helmet but it is much more versatile and works well when you need protection and a good serving of insulation. With Primaloft Silver insulation in it you are getting good quality warmth and the Pertex outer fabric is light and durable. A micro fleece headband gives you a bit of extra comfort without adding much weight.

The Prism is really lightweight and stuffs into the tiny internal pocket. It is the perfect packable hat for any occasion where you don’t want the bulk or weight that usually comes with a hat like this. Amazing performance for such a little hat and perfect for heading to the crag or into the mountains.
