Our Verdict

Montane’s Ice Grip Gloves are a well designed glove that provides you with some serious protection. The use of Primaloft Gold Eco insulation provides an excellent level of warmth. The Gore lining prevents any water getting through the fabric but even if some does get into the gloves (which is usually my fault) in the worst conditions the Gold insulation still works well when wet.

The durable leather palms are reinforced in key areas where high wear is likely from ropes or poles. Even after some serious use they still look as good as new. An easy to use Velcro cuff and finger loops to hang the gloves when not in use just make these more practical and wearable.
