Our Verdict

Montane’s GR Sun Hat is a simple but highly effective bucket style hat providing all round protection with flexible brim. Breathability is decent with a number of air vents and the internal headband works well as a sweatband. It’s durable, lightweight and packable so it’s an ideal travel hat. 

The fabric is light so will breathe well and there’s a simple velcro adjustment on the back. With the added bonus of anti odour treatment and high sun protection it makes it an ideal cap for sunny mountain treks.
