Our Verdict

Montane’s Alpine Raid Pull-On would be an excellent addition to anyone’s layering system. This pull-on version has a slim fit, is super stretchy and very comfortable against the skin. Once on, you won’t want or need to take it off. It works really well as a mid layer in colder conditions but is versatile enough to work on it’s own in milder conditions. The face fabric is surprisingly durable for a fleece at this weight which allows the top to be used for a wide range of activities.

The thumb loops are well positioned and the zip allows for quick, efficient venting. There are no hand warmer pockets as the jacket is designed for moving fast but you get a large chest pocket.
