Our Verdict

Montane’s Alpine Mission Gore-Tex Gloves give you all the protection and warmth you would want in a glove. Tough, hard wearing materials provide the base for a solid glove that works well with ropes, axes and other kit you need in the mountains. A good amount of Primaloft Gold Insulation combined with pile fleece inner linings make these toasty warm and comfortable.

They have all the additional features you’d expect from a quality glove like this with a wrist leash, hang loops, cinch toggle on the gauntlet and serious reinforcements where needed. Although they feel a bit chunky for dealing with more intricate tasks like adjusting guy lines they work well for most tasks in winter conditions.
